These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with Alum & Ash. By placing an order you agree to them.

Who we are

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock or mispriced — and will refund any payment in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and shown on each product page.
No VAT is charged at present.
Delivery is added at checkout based on basket weight. Payment is taken securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Products

Everything is made in small batches by hand, so slight variation in colour, pattern and scent strength is normal and not a fault. Fragrances high in natural resins may deepen in colour over time. Full ingredient and safety information is on each product page and on our ingredients page.

Cancellation and returns

Your cancellation rights and the hygiene exemption on unsealed cosmetics are set out in our returns policy.

Liability

Use our products as directed and observe the safety information provided. We don’t exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be excluded under UK law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
