Alum & Ash

Scent and pattern from the same place

Light through
pierced metal.

Small-batch soap, candles and home fragrance in regional collections. A Marrakesh bar smells of the place and carries its geometry — that pairing is the product.

Morocco

The hot spiced street, and the cool green courtyard behind it.

Orange blossom, mint, cedar — and the spiced street · Zellige tilework

The Arabian Peninsula

Arabia

Bakhoor smoke, desert night, cardamom coffee. Resin above everything.

Oud, frankincense, amber — resin above everything · Girih strapwork

The Greek islands

Aegean

Olive groves and whitewash. Salt drying on skin.

Olive, bergamot, fig, sea salt · The Greek key

Gift sets

A whole room in one box — the bar, the candle and the object that goes with them, at less than the sum of the parts.

How these are made

One place, one scent, one pattern

Each collection starts from a real fragrance tradition and the tessellating craft of the same place. Nothing is a scent with decoration bolted on.

Stamped, not moulded

Bars are cut from a loaf and pressed with a hand tool carrying the collection’s geometry — so we can prove a pattern before committing to a mould.

Made to be read

Full ingredient and safety information sits on every product page, not just the wrapper. You know exactly what you’re buying before you buy it.
