Persia

The walled garden — the pairidaēza that gave us the word paradise. Rosewater and saffron, cypress trees, water channels, carpets woven with the garden as their subject.

Persia owns rose. It appears nowhere else in the range, and that exclusivity is what makes this collection itself rather than a variation on Arabia. The soap steadies rose with geranium and cedar; the candle is the opulent one — saffron, rose, oud and honey; the diffuser warms it softly with cardamom and sandalwood.

The pattern is the boteh, the teardrop with a curved tip that the world now calls paisley — the most organic of our seven geometries, curved where the others are angular. Copy and scents are being finalised — Persia joins after the launch three.
